Reporting Harassment

NPP Fellows are neither employees of ORAU nor of NASA, but NPP Fellows ARE recipients of NASA funding. As such, in situations of potential harassment where both the alleged perpetrator and victim of the alleged harassment or discrimination are engaged in activities funded through NASA financial assistance or otherwise employed by NASA when the alleged harassment or discrimination occurs, NASA’s Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO) has the primary responsibility within NASA to receive and process complaints.

If you believe that during your appointment as an NPP Fellow you have been harassed or discriminated against, or that you have witnessed someone else being harassed or discriminated against, due to your (or their) sex (including pregnancy, sexual harassment, sex stereotyping, or caregiving responsibilities), race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability status, you may be able to report this harassment or discrimination to NASA. (NOTE: This link is also accessible at the bottom of all NASA SMD webpages via the “REPORT HARASSMENT” link.). Alert-NASA has reported there is a glitch in the email address listed for filing a claim; harassment claims should be submitted to hq-civilrightsinfo@mail.nasa.gov.

You may also contact ORAU with questions or concerns about reporting harassment, and we will arrange confidential communication with you to help address and support your concerns.
